We were grateful to see a peaceful transition of power this week, and have high hopes for a happy, healthier new year.
One of the first orders that our new president has issued is a federal mask mandate. Steps continue to be taken on a local level, as well, to slow the spread of COVID. The Marin County Public Health Department is actively coordinating with MarinHealth, Kaiser Permanente, Sutter, and other community partners to provide coordinated vaccine distribution across Marin. A news release issued this week includes links to dispensing sites and an online interest form to register for notifications. The New York Times has a nifty tool to estimate where each of us are in line to receive the vaccine. And VolunteerMatch is advertising volunteer opportunities to assist with the vaccine rollout. Medical experience is welcome, but not required -- it is estimated that up to three non-medical volunteers will be needed for every one medical expert volunteer.
We're all looking forward to a time when we can resume our normal activities. While still far from normal, according to the Marin County Health and Human Services School Status Dashboard, 80% of public schools and 100% of private schools in Marin are offering some amount of in-person learning at this time. This dashboard is a wealth of information about each school, as well as county-wide statistics.

vaccines – and, after an initial crash in
activity, a record-breaking real estate market

Carlisle cautions that many factors affect individual home values besides city and bedroom count: the quality of the location within the region, architectural style
and curb appeal, condition, views, amenities, extra rooms, parking, decks, yards, privacy, lot size, and so on. Carlisle adds that t
here is a vast variety of homes within each area, and how median sales prices apply to a particular
property is unknown without a specific comparative market analysis. We encourage you to contact us for a free assessment of what your home is worth.
